The Director of Nursing for Mercy Franciscan at West Park will be accountable for all planning, operational, budgetary, staff leadership, organizational and resource management activities of designated departments on a 24-hour basis. This key position will monitor services to ensure consistent quality, optimize manpower and develop positive relationships with nurses and all personnel, hospital and network departments and managers. Functions also include identifying and managing opportunities for business grown and financial viability, and encouraging professional and personal growth for staff members through education and other resources.

Job Requirements

The candidate we seek has demonstrated leadership abilities, is certified in a clinical or management specialty and has earned a BSN degree (or is currently enrolled in a nursing degree program). A thorough knowledge of theories and methodologies related to staffing, workflow, bed allocation, budget preparation/monitoring, educational program development and application of patient care delivery systems is required. We also require effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capabilities; computer proficiency; and excellent management, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
