ODONA News Convention 2011 Convention 2011 is already under development. It will be held from February 27 to March 1, 2011 at the embassy Suites Hotel, Columbus, Dublin Ohio. The overall convention evaluations strongly indicated that members would prefer to continue to hold the Convention at Embassy Suites in Dublin. The ODONA Board is already working on the programs and entertainment. All evaluations of the 2010 Convention Speakers have been collated and sent to the various speakers. Overall, every presentation received high marks. ODONA attended the OHCA Convention in May by having an informational booth. Booth representatives had the opportunity to meet and speak with dozens of current and potential members. In addition, contacts with potential speakers, various companies and organizations will enhance the 2011 Convention. A Bath and Body Works Basket and 2011 Convention Registration were given away. Rita Haborak won the Bath and Body Works Basket and Gwyn Strauss won the 2011 Convention Registration. ODONA is working on a topic-related boot camp for both new and seasoned DONs to be held this fall. While plans are not finalized, the potential topic is MDS 3.0. With all the changes coming our way on a daily basis, almost, it is important to keep current. Plans are underway to have an ODONA member become an instructor for the DON certification course through AALTCN, so we can offer the certification to our membership. Peggy Kish will be working with Charlotte Eliopoulos toward this goal. ODONA SCHOLARSHIPS The following scholarships were awarded at the Awards Dinner during this year's ODONA Convention in March.
