ODONA/LTC SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

ODONA/LTC is pleased to offer three scholarships this year.

ODONA is striving to encourage education in the field of long term care nursing. We invite anyone interested to contact the scholarship committee through the ODONA office. The scholarship committee will review all qualified applications. Award winners will be contacted in mid-February. Scholarships will be awarded at the annual ODONA Convention held in late February or early March.

The ODONA SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to current ODONA members. The scholarship must be used for education related to the role of the Director of Nursing. ODONA awards one scholarship in each of the state's five regions; applicants should contact the ODONA office for an application. Applications must be submitted to the ODONA office by February 1^st and must include a letter from your school of nursing verifying your enrollment. Scholarship awards are paid directly to the school where the applicant is enrolled.

The NURSING ASSISTANT SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to a State Tested Nursing Assistant enrolled in a nursing program in the state of Ohio. The applicant must work for a facility where the D.O.N. or A.D.O.N. is a current member of ODONA, and provide two letters of recommendation (one from their D.O.N.), and a letter from your school of nursing verifying your enrollment. One scholarship may be awarded each year. Applicants should contact the ODONA office for an application. Applications, letters of recommendation, and verification of your enrollment from your school of nursing must be submitted to the ODONA office by February 1^st. Scholarship awards are paid directly to the school where the applicant is enrolled.

The ODONA LPN to RN SCHOLARSHIP is available to LPN's currently employed at a facility where the DON or ADON is a current member of ODONA. The award is paid directly to the Ohio school where the applicant is earning his/her RN degree.

Scholarships are awarded at the annual convention in late February. It is never too early to request an application for consideration of a scholarship. To request an application, please call the ODONA office at 1-866-226-3662 or download below.
